Have you ever thought about what you want in an exercise program? Have you ever planned your workout in your mind? Exercise sometimes makes you feel like it is just another chore that needs to get done and your mind starts making it more harder and complicated then it needs to be. We know that exercise is great for us but we struggle just trying to get ourselves out the door. Exercise is actually one of the cheapest forms of entertainment that we can do. It doesn't even have to cost you a penny and it is free to use the world outside your front door as a fitness center.
I honestly believe that walking out your front door is one of the hardest things to do when starting an exercise program. We all seem to find excuses about why we should open that door and walk out when it comes to health and fitness. We would run to the car to go to the movies or shopping but not to exercise. Below are some tips for making exercise simpler.
- Get your exercise done in the morning so you can get it out of the way. This also helps you start the day feeling good about yourself and everything else around you. The advantage to exercising in the morning is you don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day.
- Combine your shopping with walking, walk to work if you work is close to where you live or park further out into the parking lot, walk to your child's school and walk home with them.
- Grab a friend to go for a walk and spend some quality time chatting.
- If you are exercising at home, make sure you have plenty of space around you to avoid injuries.
- If you are doing some kind of music aerobic exercise then creating the right kind of environment around you is essential. Make sure you are centered in front of the television and that the room is well ventilated.
- Pre plan your workouts so they will work right into your schedule
- How about finding a hobby or some kind of a sport that you are committed to a couple times a week.
- Find a yoga or tai chi class in one of your local parks and sign you and a friend up at the same time.
- Take small baby steps when working toward your goals. This will in turn help you achieve the overall goal.
- Consistently work our regularly and you will reap the benefits of all your hard work.
What this all boils down to is make a plan, open your front door and step out into a world of health. You will not only feel better but the whole world will take on a new look and feel. You will have more energy, more self esteem and be more efficient in getting the things done that you want to do in life. Take off the unhealthy glasses that you have been wearing and see how wonderful the world looks when you are feeling fantastic!!
