Temporary or permanent?” The most popular answer of course is permanent unless you are the type
of person who likes quick constant changes in your life. Most people like to have a sense of security and permanence in their life. It is bizarre that we always give in to short term solutions when it comes to weight loss.
These short-term solutions come in different ways such as skipping meals, working out with an empty stomach, diet pills or drinks, and so forth.
Dieters have their blinders on when it comes to weight loss techniques that affect their metabolism. There are different factors that can lower or heighten your metabolic rate like your age, sex, sleeping habits, and the amount of muscle mass.
Some dieters just exercise for the fat loss. This isn't new to us, even fitness guru's give us this advice. We all take this advice to heart and use it to get in shape. The truth is, we need to do a complete and total body work out to maintain a healthy weight or to improve the fitness level that you desire.
Another big mistake is when we restrict our calories and our food intake. Experts will tell us that when we decrease our food intake and calories, our metabolism slows down to create a balance inside for bodily activities. You will probably lose weight, but it will only be temporary. You will lose muscle mass and eventually you will start to gain weight. This is very unhealthy.
Another huge mistake is the use of diet pills to lose weight. Metabolism is greatly affected using this method. We think that by taking diet pills it will suppress our appetites and help us lose weight. Losing weight on diet pills is only temporary. You have to think about losing weight long term instead of a temporary quick fix.
You must remember to keep in mind that your health should be one of the most important things in your life. In order to gain a healthy lifestyle we need to eat properly and do cardio and toning exercises. Most importantly we need to love ourselves and to have the desire to change our lives. We must not be blinded by the glittering temptations that come with quick weight loss schemes because they are only temporary.
We must make choices for the long term. We need to look past tomorrow and ahead six months from now. Only when we look this far ahead will our weight loss be permanent.
