About Us

My name is Sue and my husband's name is Keith. We have been married for 12 years. We have been very happy with our lives except for the fact that our personal body weight had been spiraling up, seemingly out of control.
We have tried numerous diets, and the weight always seems to come back with a vengeance. Every diet we tried failed us in some way or another. We knew there had to be a change in the way we were existing, or we would cease to exist before we were done living our lives. Our eating habits needed to change, and we had to start living a more active lifestyle.
We scoured the internet looking for answers, and there were many websites with weight loss advice, but none that we thought added a personal touch. Every one of the sites were designed to get you to buy a product, and if you lost weight, then good for you!
We decided that we needed something different than just a "diet". We decided to take our search public. I always had a desire to make a web site, so we made the decision that I would stay home, and design I Choose Thin, with the sole intention of helping ourselves, and others lose weight.
As we learned about weight loss, we realized that we did not need to diet. This may sound strange, but true. It can't be a diet, because diets have a start date, and a date of completion, and we were looking for a life long program that worked!
The light bulb came on, and we now realize we must live a healthy lifestyle if we are ever to reach optimal health, and longevity. We soon realized that it was so much more than just changing our eating habits, and our couch potato existence, we have to change our lives.
The changes in our lives have begun. This website is here to have you push us ahead, while we pull you along. So lets work together to prevent diabetes, or a heart attack. Let us all achieve the healthy lifestyle needed to get to a healthy weight, and keep it off for a lifetime. I Choose Thin, what do you choose?
As of January 25th, 2011, we are still traveling the weight loss road. Keith has lost 112 pounds and has reached his goal weight. I have lost 78 pounds and I still have to lose a little more weight to reach my goal. Our lives are healthier, and we have grown to love walks, jogging, and having fun together.
We are learning to be more healthy and active. We realize that diets fail everyone, and the best thing to do is change your lifestyle. Join us on our journey in reaching optimal health, we always have room for you on this endeavor.
