We have to deal with huge portions; all you can eat buffets, extra large servings of french fries, large candy bars, double hamburgers, and other snacks and foods that lead to our overeating.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables

The American Cancer Society recommends that we eat five or more servings of fruits and vegetables every day. This is supposed to help prevent cancer. Eat high fiber fruits and vegetables instead of high calorie foods and snacks. You will feel full, and happy you are saving on calories!

  1. a medium apple, or orange is the size of a tennis ball
  2. 1 cup of chosen raw vegetables, or fruit is the size of a baseball.
  3. 1/4 cup of dried fruit like raisins, apricots and mango is the size of a small handful,
  4. 1 cup of lettuce is about 4 leaves

Portion Control and weight loss works together in a positive way, and can lead to weight loss success. If we can visualize some of the things that we put into our mouths then we will be able to eat healthier, lose weight, and lower our calories. We are on our way to a healthier lifestyle!
