Weight Loss, Motivation, and Self Confidence
Weight loss is really hard when you are lacking in self confidence, and motivation. It is even harder when your self esteem is at an all time low.
Self confidence is everything; it allows you to make the most of life's opportunities, face your weight loss challenges, and perform well when you need to. How you picture yourself has a huge impact on how others see you. How you see yourself is reality, the more self confidence you have, the more likely you will reach your goals.
There are many factors that affect our self confidence that are way beyond our control. Here are 6 tips that you can consciously do to build your self confidence.
Dress Up!
Put on some great looking clothes that make you feel good about yourself. It seems when you feel pretty or handsome, it changes the way you carry yourself and the way you interact with others. Take care of your personal appearance and feel good about yourself.
Walk with your head up!
One of the easiest ways to tell about how a person feels about themselves is how they walk. Do you walk slowly? Do you walk with a purpose? Do you display energy in your walk?
People who are confident seem to walk a little faster. They walk as though they have a purpose. Do you hold your head up when you walk, or do you watch your feet. Hold you head up, be proud of who you are, and walk with purpose in your step. It will make you feel and look more self confident.
Stand Up Straight!
Have you ever watched people in a mall or at the beach? You can actually tell how a person is feeling by how they carry themselves.
People who walk with their shoulders slumped, and have lackadaisical movements, give off the impressions that they are lacking in self confidence. You will feel more confident if you stand up straight, keep your head up and make eye contact.
Being Grateful!
When you tend to focus too much on one thing, the mind then creates reasons why you can't have it. You will tend to dwell on your weaknesses. The best way to avoid this is by consciously focusing on being grateful.
Make a gratitude journal. Set aside some time every morning and evening and write down everything that makes you grateful. You will be amazed at all the positive things you do have in your life and how motivated you are to taking the next steps to your success.
Be grateful for the person looking back at you in the mirror every morning and love who you are.
Compliment Others!
If we think negative thoughts about ourselves, we often transmit our feelings to others through insults and gossip. We need to break this negativity and compliment others around us.
You will not only gain confidence through this tip but you will be well liked by others. When you look for the good in others, you always bring out the best in yourself.
Get Physical!
If you are overweight and out of shape, you will feel insecure, unattractive and lonely. By doing some form of exercise, you will not only improve your physical appearance, but you will feel energized, and able to accomplish whatever comes your way in a positive manner.
Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel great but it creates a positive drive that keeps you going for the rest of the day.
In Conclusion
Too often we just get caught up on our own desires. We tend to focus on ourselves and forget about everyone else around us. If we would just stop thinking about ourselves as much and concentrate on the giving of ourselves to others, we wouldn't have time to worry about our own flaws.
